More pictures from Day One
Posted in Photos by Chris Mann
Following on from Jésus’ selection of photos from day one, here are a few of mine.
We traveled from Phoenix out towards the north-east and basically followed the Apache Trail over the mountains to our first night’s stopping place in Globe AZ.
The road out of town – towards the Superstition Mountains and the start of the journey…

This place was (a little disappointingly) built as a movie set, but it does have a real live blacksmith working there who demonstrates the old traditional skills.

It even has a photo studio! – no not really – it just has the sign…

And fire buckets…

In the desert you would expect to see cacti – and we were not disappointed:

Moving on, we ventured ever deeper into the mountains along the Apache Trail…

“Moonrise over Hernandez”?

Loving your work guys! Got to say that I’m particularly fond of the anti-sponsorship!
I’m seriously jealous, guys, but thanks for the vicarious vacation!
Looking forward to more gorgeous images.
Loving these, Chris, especially that first one … great leading lines and wonderful mountain views … very very jealous ! LOL

Lovely shots too, Chris. The landscape is really cool and I guess ou have to experience it yourself to really feel the greatness of it. It looks great, but I bet it’s even cooler up close.
Sitting here retouching in my cold office those views look gorgeous!!
Hey Chris & Jesus, nice stuff so far. I look forward to reading more.
Be safe and see you in a couple of days.
Take care, Larz
I see, you compromised and are driving in the middle of the road
Love the fire bucket image, nice contrast with blue bars on the window.
Cool stuff guys, I am getting to know Arizona through you. I want to go to there
