Day One – just getting started…
Posted in Photos by Jesus Tirso
So, here are some of my “visions” from day one – a rather short one. My flight was delayed a bit, then the logistics of getting added to the car rental agreement, lunch, and such. While I navigated, Chris did a good job of staying on the right side of the road – a good thing as the left side was nothing but sheer cliff!
We started off at Sky Harbor Airport (where else?), drove the Apache Trail, and wound up in Globe, AZ. That’s where this is being written from. Actual photos next –
Anyway, enough talk. Let’s satisfy some of the requests for photos. These are NOT final as I’m working from a laptop without any of my usual tools.
Our “guide” for the UHRT:

The road ahead…(don’t re-calibrate your monitor – some of these are infrared.)

One of our first stops was at the Apache Trail Museum.

The blacksmith

The landscape…

Some much appreciated news…

A team photo…

What else you ask? Well, how about some classic leading lines and S-curve?

My favorite image of the entire trip…so far.

Finally, the most prominent feature of the landscape…

That’s it from me for day one. Pretty un-hip right!
